Josh and Michelle’s wedding was a fairytale dream! They met through mutual friends about three years ago and decided to go on a date to Top Golf, one of their favorite places. Golf is a real love for them, so naturally they wanted an outdoor ceremony right on the golf course. Our bride and groom chose to wed on the golf range of the Oaks Golf Course at Margaritaville Lake Resort at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.

I love photographing the raw emotions that come on a wedding day, and their day was full of them. When getting ready, they chose to send surprise gifts to one another as well as love letters, which is such a special way to say I Love You on the big day. After every gift opened, Michelle would say “Ah! He just knows me so well!”

For the ceremony, we rode over in the shuttle bus to the Oaks Golf Course. They did not want to see each other beforehand, so it was a big reveal moment when bride Michelle walked down the aisle. For Josh, and frankly everyone else around, it was quite the tear-jerker to witness. Swelling music, birds chirping, tears falling. You’ll just have to take a look at the photos! They exchanged vows and then had an epic first kiss.

After family photos, we loaded up in golf carts and went on a tour of the Oaks Golf Course. Our couple knew the course well, so we stopped at favorite and meaningful spots with beautiful backdrops. Our last two photo stops were to use a couple golf clubs to putt on the green, and to get everyone together under the Margaritaville Lake Resort sign.

They carried their love of golf through their wedding with golf inspired decor and fun golf themed cakes. Josh and Michelle entered their reception ready to party - with the dance moves to boot. Such a fun way to enter into marriage!

Later in the night in his speech, the best man called Michelle a “real life Disney princess” - both because of her kindness and her beauty - and I couldn’t agree more! She was truly stunning in her princess inspired ballgown right there next to her Prince Charming. I’m so glad I got to know these two and photograph their beautiful wedding day.
